GRE Vocab: “words related with age”



  1. Senility (n): old age; feeblemindedness of old age.
  2. Hoary (adj): greyish white
                        : having grey hair; aged
                        : overused and trite
  3. Coeval (adj): having the same age or date of origin; contemporary
                 (n): a person of roughly the same age as oneself; a contemporary
  4. Superannuated: retired by age
  5. Dotage (n): the period of life in which a person is old and weak
  6. Gnarled (adj): knobby, rough, and twisted, especially with age.
  7. Doddering (adj): slow and unsteady.
