Build your vocabulary for new GRE with easy to remember phrase

In this blogpost i am writing some very easy to remember phrase. In each phrase i have written the description of the words, their meanings.
I have also added synonyms so that these things can be valuable to solve Sentence Equivalence Questions in New GRE. I have bold the "GRE WORD". in each phrase.
  1. Cognitive dissonance
  2. A complaisant ally
  3. Conciliatory statements
  4. Conjugal harmony/ happiness
  5. Contumacious defendant

  8. Cornucopia of employment opportunities
  9. Dearth of human resources
    Dearth is a noun. Which means smallness of quantity or number.
    Synonyms of dearth are: Scarcity, a lack
  10. Disingenuous appearance of candor
  11. To divulge information
  12. Elated by his success
  13. Emollient phrases
  14. Estranged couple
  15. Expiation of sins
  16. Fulsome praise
  17. Garrulous receptionist
  18. Glib explanation
  19. Grandiloquent phrases
  20. Gregarious creature
    Gregarious is an adjective. Which means enjoying the company of other people. You you like moving, cycling etc with your friends you are also a gregarious creature.
    The synonyms of gregarious are: Sociable, Outgoing
  21. Implacable foe
  22. Incongruous behavior
  23. Insouciant attitude
  24. Internecine nature of conflict
  25. Poverty mitigation
    Mitigate is a verb. Which means "to make or become less severe or intense; to moderate". Poverty alleviation is a widely used phrase and i feel you might be familiar with this word "Poverty alleviation" So when ever you come across with this phrase, you can replace the word alleviation with mitigation. In this way you can easily remember the meaning of mitigation.
